What is iBPMS?
Before we talk about iBPMS, we should first say a bit about BPM, BPMS, and iBPM.
BPM (Business Process Management) refers to the process of continuously analyzing business processes and improving them to elevate the level of business operations.
Business Process Management System, also known as BPMS, is a standard workflow system primarily used to provide process reports. BPMS has two models, that is, Business Model and Workflow Model. By registering and setting up these models, you can analyze and improve the business processes. BPMS has two main features:
1. Modify the process and dataflow easily
To delete a step in a process or modify the dataflow, you can make any changes to the dataflow simply by deleting and moving items in the models.
2. Find out the solution by analysis automatically
BPMS can record the volume handled and time spent and determine the processes to be changed based on the analysis.
iBPM (also known as Intelligent Business Process Management) refers to the business process management tools powered by Artificial Intelligence (AI) and cloud-like technologies. iBPM can help organizations build their dynamic technology environments based on Value-added Knowledge Engineering to plan and automate their complex business processes. iBPM, as an extension of BPM, brings organizations more agile business processes and management.
iBPMS (i.e., iBPMS suit) includes many internal components, like cloud, messaging-oriented middleware, IoT integration, AI and the business activities monitoring, etc. iBPMS is an all-inclusive tool, combining business rules, big data mining, machine learning, cloud computing, mobility, and AI, etc.
What’s the relationship between iBPMS and RPA?
Both iBPMS and RPA are critical parts of Hyper Automation. iBPMS supports the full business and decision-making process, including discovery, analysis, designing, implementation, execution, monitoring, and continuous optimization. iBPMS can quickly build a clear picture of your complex workflow. In the case of digitalized workflow, it can help coordinate business personnel and arrange business processes. This is of great help to organizations who wish to automate business processes via RPA. iBPMS and RPA are complementary. More and more organizations bring them together for practical use.
