Application of RPA in The Live Streaming Industry

In recent years, the offline marketing model has shrunk and stagnated amid the pandemic. And online marketing, especially live streaming, has been favored by many enterprises. Live streaming has undoubtedly become a new fashion.

Making the live streaming studio stand out through efficient and granular management has become one of the pain points of many businesses. In this context, more and more merchants are looking to a variety of automation tools among which RPA is playing a big role.

1. Commodity management

Before live streaming, commodities should be linked to the platform in advance. When the number of commodities for sales is small, manual operation is just okay, but for some big anchors, hundreds of commodities need to be uploaded for a single live streaming session, and tens of thousands of commodities need to be captured every day. In this case, manual work may lead to delayed operation and wrong links.

RPA solution

RPA robots can automatically capture commodities' links and information in batch accurately, with the links captured free of mistakes.

2. Order handling

In the live streaming mode, anchors must direct the audiences to place orders while introducing products, so the orders must be handled instantly. With human work, it may take more than five minutes to handle an order, and in live streaming sessions, they must also manage the orders, which may affect the quality and progress of the live streaming session.

RPA solution

RPA robots can automatically export and classify orders in the background during the live streaming session, helping save labor costs. They can also easily handle tens of thousands of orders during peak business hours. Through timely handling of orders, the churn rate may be reduced to some extent.

3. Customer service

For consumers, good customer service basically relies on a fast response mechanism. Especially in the live streaming sessions on the platforms like TikTok, customer service staff are often required to be more engaged in the interaction to respond to questions raised by customers in the comments. To this end, many merchants have set up special customer service teams to answer questions raised by customers in their comments during the live streaming sessions. However, training such a team may take a long time with higher labor costs.

RPA solution

RPA robots can automatically reply to various questions in the live streaming studio around the clock without interruption according to keywords, which greatly reduces the labor costs of merchants.
